3. PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

Consent Calendar items will be acted upon by the Commission at one time without discussion. Any Commission member, staff member, or interested citizen may request that an item be removed from the Consent Calendar for discussion. The Commission may also add items from the agenda to the Consent Calendar for approval, absent objections and/or requests of staff or the public to speak to those matters.

REQUESTED ACTION: By motion, adopt Resolution 06/07.10 approving the El Dorado County Department of Transportation’s claim for FY 2006/2007 Transportation Development Act Article 8 Funds in the amount of $293,739.60.

REQUESTED ACTION: By motion, adopt Resolution 06/07.11 approving the El Dorado Hills Community Services District’s claim for Transportation Enhancement Activities Exchange Funds in the amount of $205,494.

C. Designate EDCTC Representative(s) for Federal Advocacy
REQUESTED ACTION: Designate a Commissioner(s) to represent EDCTC at two Federal advocacy opportunities: El Dorado County/City of Placerville/EDCTC “pre Cap-to-Cap” scheduled for February 6th to 8th and the 2007 Cap-to-Cap advocacy effort scheduled for April 21st to 25th.

REQUESTED ACTION: By motion, appoint members to the Social Service Transportation Advisory Council for three-year terms.

E. Professional Services Agreement – State Transportation Advocate/Legislative Strategist
REQUESTED ACTION: By motion, authorize the Executive Director to enter into a professional services agreement with Nielsen, Merksamer, Parrinello, Mueller & Naylor, LLP for State Transportation Advocate/Legislative Strategist Services, effective February 1, 2007, for an initial term to June 30, 2008, with the option to extend an additional two years to June 30, 2010, at the discretion of EDCTC.
