DORADO COUNTY
SHORT-RANGE TRANSIT PLAN
COMPLETED
EDCTC was successful in securing grant funds from the California Department of Transportation’s Transit Technical Planning Assistance Grant program to complete a Short-Range Transit Plan (SRTP) for El Dorado County. The new SRTP replaces the short-range element of the combined Short- and Long-Range Transit Plan Study completed in November 2003. The new Short-Range Transit Plan will guide transit operations over the five-year period from 2008/09 through 2012/13.
The following is a list of some of the more significant service plan proposals included in the SRTP:
Implementation of the proposals included in the final plan are dependant on available funding and approval by the El Dorado County Transit Authority Board. Details of the above proposals and more are included in the final plan which is available for review or download HERE.
TRANSIT
EDCTC works closely with the El Dorado County Transit Authority (EDCTA) to deliver long-range transit plans, park-and-ride lots, multi-modal centers, and buses with the newest technology and comfort. Each Spring, EDCTC coordinates an annual public participation process to solicit input regarding additional or improved transit service.
