EDCTC Executive Director named
2006 Member of the Year
by WTS, Advancing Women in Transportation, Sacramento Chapter.
At a banquet held on Thursday, October 19, Kathryn Mathews was honored as WTS Sacramento 2006 Member of the Year.
The honor came with the comments that Kathryn Mathews is a well known transportation leader in the Sacramento Region with 20 years of experience involving rural and regional transportation planning.
One major accomplishment in El Dorado County is that under Kathryn's leadership, the 2005-2025 Regional Transportation Plan was developed; the first in over a decade.
Kathryn is currently working with the cities of Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova, and Folsom and the County of Sacramento, on the Elk Grove-Rancho Cordova-El Dorado Connector, which will be a new transportation corridor to serve the growing travel demand between these emerging urban areas.
On the national level, Kathryn also represents the Sacramento region while attending many of the Sacramento Region's Cap-to-Cap annual lobbying efforts.
