Assembly Bill 1204 has been amended

SECTION 1. Section 67951 of the Government Code is amended to read:

67951. The agency shall be composed of four members appointed by the county board of supervisors and two members appointed by the city council of each incorporated city in that portion of the county described in Section 67950, unless there is only one incorporated city, in which case that city shall have three appointed members. The appointing authority, for each regular member it appoints, may appoint an alternative member to serve in place of the regular member when the regular member is absent or disqualified from participating in a meeting of the agency.

SEC.2. If the Commission on the State Mandates determines that this act contains costs mandated by the state, reimbursement to local agencies and school districts for those costs shall be made pursuant to Part 7 (commencing with Section 17500) of Division 4 of Title 2 of the Government Code

What Should the Representation be on the
El Dorado County Transportation Commission?

The Citizens' Advisory Committee was created for the purpose of reviewing the current composition of EDCTC and providing a recommendation with respect to the future composition of the Commission. Members were appointed by the Commission at its July 2, 2009 meeting.

The Committee held six public meetings throughout the county to hear public comment with regard to this matter. The Committee deliberated on November 17. Their recommendation(s) will be presented to the Commission at its December 3 meeting.
